My Big Debut
Today was a snow day. I’ve always heard that snow days are supposed to be magical. Well, nothing particularly magical happened to me. I woke up late, which was nice, but also wasted a lot of time. I found out that Hilary finally announced that she was running for President (yes, a little late- i know). I’m not voting for her. If women vote for her just because she’s a woman, I will probably get so mad that I will by sheer force of will stop having my period so I don’t have to be like them. I’ll write in my father if I have to. Or my best friend, Daniel. He would make a great President, I think. Especially since he has little old me to correct his spelling and fashion faux pas.
“My Big Debut” was not referring to my first blog post. I would actually say that my first post is no big deal. I’ve written a considerable amount of words online for no particular reason. I was talking about my first day cooking in my college’s kitchen! I made Sunday dinner for the whole school. This was a big deal for me. All right. It was soup and sandwiches. And I didn’t even cut the onions. But I learned how! The trouble is, I’m not really making it with my career in the kitchen. It’s incredibly convenient, especially since I don’t have a car! But so far this semester I’ve made $12. And I have to get up all the time at 5:45 AM! Last semester, I had an amazing job in the mortgage department at a bank, but I had to give it up because I’m taking 21.5 credits. I need to find a job where I can do homework on the clock. Train conductor?
I’ve been thinking about my New Year’s Resolutions. I really wanted to make some this year. I was hoping I could at least finish making them by the end of January. I know two for sure:
- Organize my iTunes music.
- Get my driver’s license.
Probably in that order.
